Returns and refunds

If your book arrives damaged or with a printing fault

Please email us at arabicbookclub@proton.me as soon as you can, with your order number and a photo of the problem. We'll send a free replacement, or refund you in full if you'd rather. You don't need to send the faulty book back.

Telling us within 14 days helps us reprint quickly, but your legal rights don't depend on it: books must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose, and if they aren't you can reject them for a full refund within 30 days of delivery, with other legal remedies after that.

If your order hasn't arrived

Your order page shows your tracking once the book is posted. If it hasn't arrived within 21 days of being posted (or 28 days outside the UK), email us and we'll look into it. If it's lost, we'll reprint and resend it or refund you, whichever you prefer. Your books are our responsibility until they reach you.

If you change your mind

You can cancel for any reason within 14 days of the day your books arrive (if they come in more than one parcel, from the day the last one arrives). Tell us by email, or use the form below, and we'll send you the address to post them back to. Please post them within 14 days of telling us. Return postage is yours to pay.

We'll refund the books and the delivery you paid within 14 days of the day we get them back, or of the day you send us proof of postage, if that's sooner. If you chose a faster delivery, we refund delivery up to the cost of our cheapest standard option.

You can look at a book as you would in a shop. If it comes back damaged, or handled more than that (e.g. written in, creased or stained), we may take the loss in value off your refund, up to the full price of the book if it can no longer be sold.

Cancelling before it's posted

Each book goes to our printer as soon as you pay, so we usually can't stop an order once it's placed. You can still cancel: return the books when they arrive, as above.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to the card or payment method you paid with, through Stripe, at no cost to you. They usually appear within 5 to 10 working days.

Cancellation form

You don't have to use this form, but you can copy it into an email:
